Paul A. Dirkse
Paul works primarily with local municipalities, providing guidance to
elected and appointed officials. He also represents individuals and
small businesses in real estate, estate planning, probate, general business
and collection matters. A former Assistant Corporation Counsel for
Marathon County, Paul graduated from Calvin College and with honors from
the University of Wisconsin Law School.
RECENT CLIENT WORK
- Negotiated and drafted a development agreement for the construction of a senior housing complex in a tax incremental financing district
- Represented a municipality concerning the construction and ownership of a $3 Million joint fire station and a long-term fire services agreement
- Negotiated and drafted comprehensive land use permits on behalf of a town for the operation of a bird hunting preserve by a multi-national corporation
- Provided counsel to a municipality in acquiring and remediating a known spill site and obtaining state financial assistance for demolition and cleanup
- Represented Sheboygan County in the planning and implementation of the federally-mandated conversion of its emergency radio frequency system
- Assisted a charitable foundation in negotiating and drafting an agreement to make a $1.8 million donation to a educational building project
